Nicely decorated, room was clean and tidy. My room was in the annexe building behind the pub, so quieter in the evening than it would be in the pub itself. Food at the pub is great - I had the Gammon and Leek homemade pie with all the trimmings. Reasonably priced, and large portions. Good selection of ales and wines. Breakfast was very good - I had Eggs Benedict, but there were many options. EV charger at the front of the property - only a slow connection, but free.of charge, so I got 130 miles range added overnight FoC. Staff were all friendly, smiley, and happy to help. Really handy for an event at Millbrook Proving Ground.

I needed a place to stay last minute for a business event. I loved the look of Knive & Cleaver and the restaurant. The room was very rustic in design, matching the rest of the restaurant's interior. I love it. There was no noise during the night; I didn't hear other guests, and it was so peaceful in the area. The follow morning I arrived for breakfast and was surprised by the variety and the chef's presentation skills were impeccable. I absolutely loved the salmon and scrambled eggs on toast with avocado - highly recommended. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely book there again for future trips.

Lovely room, very comfortable and modern, we had outside table and chairs, lovely restaurant, outside area, it was a Saturday afternoon spent eating late lunch listening to music from soul singer. Lovely food, breakfast cooked to Ooder and plentiful, good value. Nice event room available to hire, offered weddings with 9 rooms for guests to stay. Opposite a lovely village church. Was a lovely stay over. We were at a local wedding so needed somewhere to stay close by. Woukd definitely recommend this place .

Quiet location despite the chime of the church bells opposite and as expected the restaurant and bar were quiet on a cold Monday night in January, just after a busy Christmas & New Year. Lovely wholesome British food for dinner and a good breakfast to start the journey home. We loved the complimentary selection of teas,coffee,chocolate and biscuits available in our room. Friendly staff at dinner and breakfast.

Everything about was perfect regarding our 2 day stay at The Knife and Cleaver except for the lock on the door of room 4 and the shower both of which were difficult to operate. We are sure that these problems have been addressed as we mentioned them to the staff on duty before we left. Everyone there were so helpful and friendly and we certainly wish to stay there again.
